El Conquistador Resort & Las Casitas Village – Fajardo, Puerto Rico
As part of our larger Puerto Rico adventure, which included a few days exploring San Juan and the lush El Yunque National Rainforest, we spent 5 unforgettable nights in Las Casitas Village at El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo. Perched cliffside above the Atlantic Ocean, the resort offered breathtaking views and the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation for our family.
We stayed in Las Casitas Village, which features villa-style accommodations with full kitchens—an absolute game-changer when traveling with kids. Even though Las Casitas feels private and peaceful, we had full access to the entire resort via walking paths and convenient golf cart shuttles.

Why Staying in Las Casitas Village at El Conquistador Makes a Difference
Because El Conquistador Resort is not all-inclusive, staying in Las Casitas Village was a game-changer for our family. The full kitchen made it easy to handle breakfasts, snacks, and simple meals, which is especially helpful when traveling with kids. As a family of seven, the villa setup also meant we could stay together under one roof rather than splitting into two rooms.
When we wanted a night off from cooking, the resort has several on-site restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining. There were also some fantastic restaurants within a few miles of the resort: La Estacion (barbeque), El Bohio (will cook fish if caught fresh on charter) and Costa Mia (authentic puerto ricon cuisin) near Seven Seas Beach. This mix of villa living and resort dining made our Puerto Rico family vacation both fun and practical.
