San Juan (First 2 Nights)
We spent our first two nights at the beautiful Caribe Hilton San Juan, a beachfront, family-friendly resort with multiple pools, on-site dining, and a private beach. How to Get Around Puerto Rico with Kids
- Rent a car for part of your trip (especially for El Yunque + Fajardo)
- San Juan is walkable/Uber-friendly
- Driving is easy and similar to the U.S.

Day 1: Arrival + Settle into San Juan

Day 3: El Yunque Rainforest Adventure
This was one of our favorite days because it was the perfect mix of short hikes, waterfalls, and easy adventure—without feeling overwhelming for kids.

- Drive to El Yunque (arrive around 9 am)
- Stop at Yokahu Observation Tower
- Hike to Mount Britton Tower
- Stop at La Coca Falls
- Visit Juan Diego Falls (don’t miss the upper falls!)

Day 7: Palomino Island Beach Day
- Take the ferry from the resort to Palomino Island

Day 8: Luquillo + Travel Day
- Go to waterpark in the morning
- Stop at Luquillo Kiosks for lunch
- Walk along Luquillo beach
- Head back to the airport
